Bird, the electric scooter company, laid off 30% of staff, or 406 employees (see link below for the list👇). Bird had already paused its services in many markets in response to the coronavirus. Scooter companies are reeling from the pandemic — in January, competitor Lime laid off 100 employees and is expected to do another round of layoffs shortly.
